Yeovil Town travel to Hampshire on Tuesday evening (7pm) to face Aldershot Town.

After defeat on the road against promotion chasing Wrexham, Darren Sarll will be hoping to bounce back against the Shots.

Tuesday’s hosts had a free weekend on Saturday but faced National League South side Ebbsfleet United in a friendly, falling to a 3-1 defeat.

Darren Sarll’s thoughts

Following Saturday’s game against Wrexham, Sarll spoke to BBC Somerset; “Mentally, I’m still not at my best, so I want to be considerate and show empathy, but I can’t say that forever.

“There’s a fragility to us at the moment, and it’s all coming at once, at a time which is already difficult for us all.

“If I could tell you the stories of injured or ill players, I couldn’t write it. Although, I thought the second half (against Wrexham) we looked great, I said at half time, this our problem as a team and we have to shoulder this as a team.”

Team news

Charlie Lee will be available for selection after serving his two-match suspension for picking up ten yellow cards.

An injury hit Yeovil will likely be without Albi Skendi, Matt Worthington, and Max Hunt due to injuries sustained on Saturday.

This could provide another opportunity to play for 17-year-old Toby Stephens after making his debut against Wrexham.

A foot in the opposition camp

Aldershot, like Town have endured a mixed season, sitting level on points in 15th place, just ahead on goal difference. Danny Searle has been in charge of the Shots since May 2019 following a spell with Braintree, after a season of struggle in 18/19, Searle steadied the ship at the Ebb Stadium, bringing much needed calm following a season of narrowly avoiding the drop via a reprieve.

Josh Rees is the star man for the Hampshire outfit, hitting 12 goals from midfield this season, even scoring a memorable double against Weymouth last month.
