Yeovil Town travel to West London to face Wealdstone F.C. on Saturday afternoon.

After bouncing back against Solihull Moors, Darren Sarll and his side will be hoping for more of the same against the struggling Stones.

For the hosts, it’s been a difficult spell, slipping down the table in recent weeks, losing four games on the spin and conceding 18 goals in the process.

Darren Sarll’s thoughts

When asked about Wealdstone’s defensive record, Sarll said, “We need to shoot a lot! I don’t really know what’s coming out of our tunnel so in all honesty the same could be said about us.

“We need to keep our standards high, especially after the spike in performance on Tuesday.

“The players who gave us that spike deserve the recognition and reward for that.”

Team News

In his press conference, Sarll confirmed that both Murphy and Wilkinson were out of Saturday’s trip to the Vale.

In better news, both Lawson D’Ath and Alex Bradley are edging closer to a return, with D’Ath slated for a mid-May return to training.

A foot in the opposition camp

After promotion from the National League South as champions last season, the Stones’ return to the National League has seen a change at the helm. Manager Dean Brennan resigned from his role and was replaced by his assistant Stuart Maynard in February.

Despite a positive start to the season, financial difficulties hit Saturday’s hosts as they slipped down the table.

The man to look out for at the Vale is Dennon Lewis, the former Love Island contestant was the catalyst for the Stones’ promotion last season earning himself a trial at Charlton Athletic in the Summer. Ultimately remaining at the Vale, the former Watford man has hit six goals this season and will be looking for more on Saturday.
