Both of Yeovil Town’s current squad members who are out on loan have been in action in the last 10 days with Sam Foley at Shrewsbury and Joe Jones at Woking we take a look at how they’ve been getting on.

In League One and Sam Foley has quickly become a vital cog in the Shews’ battle to avoid the drop.

The former Newport man has played twice over the past few days for his temporary club.

Firstly on Saturday, Foley played just over an hour as Shrewsbury went to high flying Wolverhampton Wanders and took away a valuable point in a 0-0 draw.

Fast forward to Tuesday night and while the Glovers were going through a rollercoaster final few minutes at the DW Stadium, Foley was in action for Shrewbury at Colchester.

This time, the result didn’t go the way of Foley’s side, but the midfielder did play the full 90 minutes.

Following Colchester’s 1-0 win, it leaves Shrewsbury in the bottom four and are now four points from safety.

Dropping into the Skrill Premier and Joe Jones has only had one fixture since the last ‘loan watch’.

Jones started on the bench for Woking in their televised game against Luton Town on Monday night.

Luton were heavy favourites and the game looked like petering out into a 0-0 draw, when Woking front man Guiseppe Sole popped up to score a late, dramatic winner.

Jones was brought on after the goal to help sure up midfield and according to Woking supporters, had some nice touches and made a decent impact in just a few minutes.

That win takes Woking to 16th place in the table and has opened up a 13 point gap between them and the relegation zone.

Upcoming Fixtures:

Shrewsbury host Bradford on Saturday before playing Carlisle away on the following Tuesday, while Woking don’t have a game now for 10 days when they host Wrexham in a battle of the mid table outfits.
