Town have been out of action for 10 days due to the international break, with last weekend’s scheduled trip to Cheltenham postponed due to four players departing Somerset to represent their respective countries.
Last time out in the league the green and whites drew 2-2 with high-flying Exeter City but will look to go one better and return to winning ways against the Super White Army.
Shaun Donnellan (Republic of Ireland U21s), Enes Mahmutovic (Luxembourg) and Rhys Browne (Antigua & Barbuda) will all be eligible after returning from international duty, but Sessi D’Almeida (Benin) will sit out a one-match ban for accruing five yellow cards.
Gary Warren will be pushing for a start after returning to the bench in the last two fixtures, with Stuart Nelson, James Bailey, Wes McDonald, Francois Zoko and Alefe Santos continuing their return to fitness.
Omar Sowunmi and Diallang Jaiyesimi are facing lengthy lay-offs, to leave Darren Way’s squad stretched.
After promotion from the National League via the play-offs, Tranmere have enjoyed their return to the EFL.
Sitting fifth in the table, Micky Mellon’s side are unbeaten in their last four league outings, winning 1-0 at home to Macclesfield last time out.
Saturday’s encounter will be the first meeting between the two sides since March 2013.
Ed Upson’s strike secured a 1-0 win in front of the home faithful after narrowly losing the reverse fixture 3-2.
The fixture will be the 17th competitive meeting with both sides boasting six wins to their name.
Yeovil’s biggest home win came in September 2010, with Dean Bowditch, Andy Welsh and Paul Huntington netting in a 3-1 win.
Christopher Sarginson will be the man in the middle on Saturday.
It will be his first match involving Town since Boxing Day last season where he oversaw the 2-0 win at Cheltenham Town.
He will be assisted by Marvyn Amphlett and Samuel Ogles with Michael Webb acting as fourth official.
