New loan signing Jordan Clarke is looking to enter the fray immediately and make himself known as a leader.

The 22-year-old arrived on loan from League One rivals Coventry on Wednesday and despite his relatively young age, hopes to demonstrate his experience.

“I think I’ve made around 140 appearances for Coventry and most of them were in the Championship as well so I do feel older than I am which I’m not sure is a good thing! But I feel experienced enough to come into a side that I’m not used to and be a leader as such.

"I want my time at Yeovil to be consistent and to defend well. I want to help the team win games and be seen as a leader because I’m very vocal on the pitch. During my time here I’d like to get us up to the highest position possible.”

Having enjoyed two full days of training with his new team mates, Clarke is enjoying his time in Somerset and hopes for a change in fortune for Town on the pitch on Saturday.

“It’s been really good, all the lads have welcomed me and I’ve trained for two full days now and it’s very good. The gaffer is good, all the staff have welcomed me as well and I’m staying with a couple of the boys at the moment, so I’m just getting used to it but I’m enjoying it so far.

"With both teams’ form Saturday can go one way or the other so hopefully it will go our way. We’re due a win, and so are they, so we’ve got to go out there with the right attitude and take the shackles off and play freely.”
