Everyone at Yeovil Town Football Club would like to pass on their sympathies to the family of Jonathan Morris who was tragically killed in a car crash on the A303 last Sunday.

Jonathan, below, worked as a steward at Huish Park. He joined The Formative Group as a student on a course in January 2015 and passed his course with flying colours and showed true potential to be an assessor and trainer for future learners on courses.

He then passed his Door Supervisor Course and his Level 3 in Spectator Safety and successfully applied for his SIA licence, which he was so proud of obtaining.

Jonathan was employed full time as a trainer and an assessor in April 2015.

He was a larger than life character in more ways than one; his sense of humour and willingness to succeed made him a pleasure to work with.

Jonathan was an ever present working as either a steward, support team, assessor or supervisor.

He made friends with everyone that he came into contact with and he very quickly became an asset to The Formative Group and every site and venue.  He completed a majority of his work and training at Yeovil Town and he assisted with the training of other stewards at the club.

Jonathan’s last job was working as a member of the Support Team for the Bristol Rovers fixture last Saturday and his last conversation was about how much he loved his job and could not wait to do more.
