The Glovers controlled the contest and had 15 shots on goal, two of which hit the crossbar, while Alex Nicholls scored with the Bees’ only attempt on target.

Yeovil had scored nine goals in two matches previous to the defeat to Barnet and Dickson is keen to move on.

“It was just one of those days,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.

“Somedays it goes for you. We had five (goals v Crawley) and four (v MK Dons) and now nothing.

“We came up against something a bit different to the two previous teams we’ve played.

“We knew we’d have to deal with the direct threat of the wind and their big boy up front but we dealt with that.

“Then in the second half it was our turn and we just couldn’t take our chances, and we created a lot. We were sucker punched”

Dickson added: “Everyone’s disappointed around the club but at the end of the day things are turning here.

“The boys have to stay positive as we’ve been on a good run and performances have been really good.

“We’ll put it behind us and move on to the next game. There are a lot more points to play for.”
