Yeovil Town’s loanee defender Dan Moss has said he feels grown as a player since signing in Somerset from Millwall.

Speaking to BBC Somerset, the full-back highlighted a growth in confidence since joining the Glovers.

“I feel so much more confident as a player, that’s down to Yeovil,” said the 21-year-old. “It’s given me the opportunity to play first team football and I can only thank the gaffer and Terry (Skiverton for that.

“The games in a first team environment, it’s just given me confidence more than anything. My whole game in general has improved whilst I’ve been here.”

After exiting the FA Cup on Saturday evening, Yeovil Town’s focus now turns to Southend United in National League action. The Blues have endured a difficult start to life in the fifth division, but as Moss knows no game can be taken lightly in this league.

“When you come into a new league like they have, you’ve got to adjust to it. Recently they’ve got a couple good results so it looks like they’ve come to terms with it.

“It’ll be a good game, for ourselves we’re looking to push on and keep trying to pick up points where we can.

“We take each game one at a time and it’s another three points to potentially pick up in what is a very long season.”

After a stellar run of form in the latter part of 2021, the Glovers fell to back-to-back defeats against Torquay over the festive period, something Moss and his teammates are keen to put behind them.

“We speak about this quite a lot, it’s just runs of one for us. We take one game at a time and hopefully get three points.

“We don’t look at it as a long run of games, it’s just one at a time. There was disappointment with the results against Torquay, but we’ve got to move on from it now. It’s in the past, we have another game on Tuesday then after that we’ll reassess and go into the next game.”
