The Glovers stormed into a resounding lead at the break courtesy of goals from Tom Eaves, Otis Khan and Ryan Hedges, before Khan and Francois Zoko completed the rout.

The win moved Yeovil up to sixth in table, extending their unbeaten league run to eight matches, and equalled the club’s biggest margin of victory in the EFL.

Way told YTFC’s official YouTube channel: “We’ve been talking about getting into play-offs all week and sometimes that pressure can effect your decision making.

“The scoreline added bonus and I don’t think it’s because of the way Crawley performed.

“I have to be aware of what the players have achieved and they deserve to take a lot of credit.

“Every opportunity we had the players looked dangerous. They expressed themselves, they were confident and showed an unbelievable desire to score.

“We now have to stay (in the play-offs) and have to make sure the players don’t become complacent going into the game on Tuesday.”

Way continued: “These players are giving everything they can possibly give.

“I thank the supporters who turned up today and hopefully they enjoyed a good entertaining day. If you’re a Yeovil Town supporter, you should be proud.

“I think if the supporters generate a bit of noise like they did, it just helps the whole of the football club.”

Town are next in action in the Checkatrade Trophy against MK Dons on Tuesday, December 6th (7.45pm).
