26th December 2016

The 21-year-old left the field after nine minutes of Yeovil’s goalless draw with Exeter City following an industrious challenge from Troy Brown.

Hedges will have a scan today and is a doubt for the Glovers’ final match of 2016 against Portsmouth (Friday, December 30th – 7.45pm kick-off).

“It was a poor tackle and we’ll have to wait to see the extent of it,” Glovers boss Darren Way said.

“He’ll be assessed at the hospital and he’ll have a scan. Fingers crossed he’ll be okay.”

Way added: “Ryan is a big player for us and causes the opposition a lot of problems.

“To lose him early on and have to shuffle it and put (Ben) Whitfield in a position he hasn’t played (was disruptive).

“Fair play to Butch (Matt Butcher) because he’s come straight in and played, and I thought he was magnificent.”
