Darren Way’s side were unseeded in the south side of the draw, which was streamed live on Facebook from Bangkok, Thailand – the home of the competition’s title sponsor, Carabao Energy Drink.

The match is likely to take place on Tuesday, August 8th (7.45pm), unless selected for live television coverage.

It will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides.

Round one of the renamed cup competition includes 70 of the 72 EFL clubs this season, with Hull City and Middlesbrough handed byes. 

Manchester United are the current holders, having beaten Southampton in last season’s final in February.

The 2017/18 Carabao Cup Final, the 58th in the competition’s history, will take place at Wembley on Sunday, February 25th 2018.
