15th December 2017

Boss Darren Way admitted his side made hard work of it despite having a two-player advantage, but was pleased with the squad’s effort to set up a tie with Bradford City.

Connor Smith went off with a head knock on Tuesday and will be assessed ahead of the trip to Mansfield Town, while Oscar Gobern (hamstring), Rhys Browne (ankle) and Dan Alfei (knee) are all ruled out.

Otis Khan netted twice against Vale, taking his tally to nine for the season.

The winger will be looking to reach 10 goals in a campaign for the first time in his career this weekend.

Francois Zoko was also on target, a goal which moved him up to second on the Glovers’ all-time EFL goalscorers list.

Mansfield’s seven-match unbeaten run in Sky Bet League Two was ended by Crawley Town.

Steve Evans’ team dropped out of the play-off places on goal difference as a result but are only five points off third position.

The Stags were considered favourites for promotion prior to the season and if Danny Rose’s form continues, they are likely to be up there come May.

The 24-year-old is their top scorer with 11 goals in 22 games.

Head-to-head
Town have won three out of their eight EFL meetings with the Stags (D2 L3).

The two sides played out a goalless draw at Huish Park back in February, with Mansfield winning the 2016/17 game at Field Mill 1-0.

The Glovers last victory over the Nottinghamshrie outfit came in March 2016 courtesy of a last-gasp Ryan Dickson strike.

Officials
Martin Coy will be the man in the middle on Saturday.

It will be the County Durham official’s 18th game of the season and his second involving the Glovers.

Mr. Coy refereed Town’s 2-0 home win over Coventry City back in August.

He has dished out 30 yellow cards and three reds, and will be assisted by Steven Plane (Worcestershire) and Paul Thompson (Derbyshire) with James Bell (Yorkshire) acting as fourth official.
