The Glovers have won their last two games in all competitions, following up a 2-0 win at home to Coventry in League Two with an impressive 3-1 win at Exeter City in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Having shipped goals early in the season, Town have now conceded just once in the last 180 minutes.

Now sitting back in mid-table, Way is looking for performances to continue to get better.

“We’re looking to make small improvements every game,” he told iFollow Glovers. “I think we’ve done that from a defensive aspect in the last week which is why we’ve had a shift in results.

“We have an attacking threat and I don’t think it’s been like this since we last got promoted in terms of goals going in.

“We have to make sure the balance stays right and everyone stays confident.”

The Glovers head to the Checkatrade.com Stadium looking to pick up their first points on the road after Tuesday’s cup victory in Devon, a target Way’s side have been working on.

“From the game on Tuesday we have to make sure we do our best and keep putting in performances like we have done.

“We’re trying to change our mindset and the game management away from home because it’s really important.

“Looking at the league table right now, certainly with the Forest Green Rovers situation (4-3 defeat) we would’ve been in the play offs.

“We’re trying to think positive and trying to understand the away trips we had last year.”
