There was a negative from Whaddon Road as skipper James Bailey suffered a knee injury which looks set to rule him out for a prolonged period.

He is added to a list that already contains Rhys Browne (ankle), Oscar Gobern (hamstring) and Dan Alfei (knee).

The Glovers win in Gloucestershire was their second in a row and put them four matches unbeaten in all competitions.

There was a first goal of the campaign for Omar Sowunmi and a second for Jordan Green as Yeovil showed they have threats all over the pitch.

A second clean sheet in three games was also pleasing for Darren Way’s side.

Morecambe are five points below Town in Sky Bet League Two, two places and above the drop zone.

The Shrimps have suffered three defeats on the bounce and have won once in eight games.

Veteran Kevin Ellison is the Lancashire outfit’s top scorer and he has a good record against Yeovil, scoring four goals in five games.

Head-to-head
Town’s last trip to the Globe Arena ended in an emphatic 3-1 win.

Matt Butcher, Alex Lacey and Bevis Mugabi were on target for the Glovers on a cold day in Lancashire.

It was the first win for Yeovil at the home of the Shrimps, previously losing 2-1 back in January 2016.

In the two side’s last meeting, Morecambe recovered from two goals down to earn a point at Huish Park.

Officials
Carl Boyeson (East Yorkshire) will take charge of the Sky Bet League Two clash.

In his 22 games this season, he has awarded 56 yellow cards and nine reds.

The official hasn’t refereed Town this season, but was the man in the middle for the Glovers’ games against Solihull Moors (the replay) and Blackpool (away) last term.

Boyeson will be assisted by Chris Isherwood (Lancashire) and Barry Cropp (Lancashire) will be his assistants, with James Mainwaring (Lancashire) acting as fourth official.
