9th August 2019

Eastleigh were dispatched in midweek thanks to Courtney Duffus’ strike, with the green and whites now ready to take on Stockport County.

Hoping to benefit from home advantage, Darren Sarll’s side look to maintain their 100% start at Huish Park when the Hatters visit before consecutive away matches next week.

Jim Gannon’s side head to Somerset for their second trip on the road this week, having picked up a point at Notts County on Tuesday night thanks to Elliot Osborne’s second half goal.

Still searching for their first win of the campaign following promotion from the National League North, the Greater Manchester outfit will head south in a determined manner.

Head-to-Head

Saturday will be the eighth meeting between the two sides and first in a league match since 2010.

Meeting in League One nine years ago, Gavin Williams (x2) and Dean Bowditch secured a 3-1 win at Edgeley Park with current Glover Craig Alcock involved on that day.

Looking to carry on where they left off that day, the green and whites will be looking to avenge last season’s 3-1 Emirates FA Cup first round defeat.

Officials

Referee Sam Allison will take charge of his second game of the campaign this weekend.

Mr Allison oversaw AFC Fylde’s 2-1 win at Aldershot on the opening day, awarding two yellow cards.

In Somerset he’ll be assisted by Robin Cox and Andrew Genders with Matthew Rushton acting as fourth official.
