22nd January 2019

Having enjoyed an upturn in form in the last fortnight, Darren Way’s side have seen off both Mansfield and Notts County.

The back-to-back wins in Sky Bet League Two tee up the clash with Lincoln City, who currently sit top of the table and unbeaten in four.

Originally due to take place in mid-November, the fixture was moved into the New Year due to Town’s international call-ups at the time.

With a virtually fully-fit squad to pick from this time around, the green and whites will be in buoyant mood.

Alex Pattison (back) returned to Somerset this week whilst James Bailey (knee) is back in training, leaving only Omar Sowunmi (ankle) to continue his rehabilitation.

Tom James’ sixth goal of the season at the weekend moves him just one behind top scorer Alex Fisher, whilst Alex Dobre opened his account for the club.

For the Imps, John Akinde boasts 11 goals with Harry Anderson backing him up on five.

Danny Cowley will, however, be unable to call upon Brune Andrade who’ll serve the second of a three-match suspension.

Head-to-head
Tuesday’s encounter will be just the seventh between the two sides since Town entered the EFL in 2003.

The Glovers have enjoyed the better of meetings, boasting three wins to Lincoln’s two.

Winning both fixtures in their debut EFL season in 2003/04, Town are now looking for their first win over the Imps since 2005.

Meeting for the first time in 13 years last season, Darren Way’s side lost 2-0 at home before claiming a point in a 1-1 draw on the final day of the 2017/18 campaign in the reverse fixture.

Officials
Ollie Yates will oversee his 26th match of the season on Tuesday night.

Having been in charge for the 2-2 draw with Exeter City in October, it’ll be his second visit of the campaign to Huish Park.

Awarding 84 yellow and four red cards so far, he’ll be assisted on the night by Andrew Laver and Matthew Lee with Christopher Husband acting as fourth official.
