24th September 2018

The Glovers suffered their first defeat in seven at the weekend, with Swindon netting three second half goals to condemn Darren Way’s side to defeat.

Despite the loss, Town did create history; not conceding until the 59th minute a new club record was set for minutes without conceding in the EFL – 573 minutes in total, a run that started on the 11th August.

Now preparing to face the Dons in the rearranged encounter, the green and whites have the chance to climb to fourth in the table with a win.

Originally scheduled for Saturday 8th September the league meeting was postponed due to Town’s international call-ups.

With the trio of Shaun Donnellan, Enes Mahmutovic and Sessi D’Almeida now back in Somerset, Way will still be unable to call upon Stuart Nelson (calf), James Bailey (knee) and Francois Zoko (knee), with Gary Warren and Wes McDonald both battling for fitness following injuries.

Omari Patrick was the unlucky sixth loan at the weekend but could return to the fold as the Glovers look for a return to winning ways.

The visitors will be looking to do the same after defeat on the road at table-topping Lincoln on Saturday.

Former Glover Kieran Agard will return to his former club as the visitors’ top scorer after netting twice so far this season.

Head-to-head
Tuesday’s meeting will be the first league encounter between the two sides since May 2015.

In the 16th encounter between the two sides, Town will look to draw level with MK Dons’ six wins.

The two clubs did meet in the Checkatrade Trophy at Huish Park in 2016, with goals from Kevin Dawson, Francois Zoko, Alex Lacey and Ben Whitfield securing an emphatic 4-1 win.

Officials
Antony Coggins will take charge of his ninth game of the season in Somerset.

Officiating predominantly in League One, it will be his first Town match since overseeing the 1-0 defeat to Carlisle United at home in February.

Mr Coggins will be assisted by Christopher Wade and Andrew Laver with Mark Pottage acting as fourth official.
