Five of Darren Way’s summer additions started in the Glovers’ 2-1 win over local rivals Weymouth in midweek, while Southampton loanee Olufela Olomola looked bright off the bench.

It was two familiar faces who were on hand to earn Yeovil victory in Dorset, with Otis Khan cancelling out Brandon Goodship’s opener before Bevis Muagbi’s stooping header turned things around after the break.

Saturday’s opponents Bristol City are three games ahead in terms of preparation for the 2017/18 campaign.

The Robins opened their pre-season account with a narrow win in Guernsey before dismantling Bristol Manor Farm 11-0 in the club’s annual community match.

Lee Johnson’s team notched a third win in succession against Bath City while a youthful side went down 2-0 at Torquay United. 

There will be no Lee Tomlin for City this weekend after he completed a move to Cardiff City, but club record signing Famara Diedhiou will make his debut.

The Senegal international sealed a £5.3m move to Ashton Gate from Angers SCO in June, a day after the BS3 outfit brought in their only other new recruit to date – Italian right-back Eros Pisano.

Before the game, Huish Park plays host to a Family Football Festival with music and refreshments available from 12noon.

In mid-morning, local Under-11 teams are taking part in a tournament on the top pitch while Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust will hold a tournament on the 3G from 1pm, with the respective finals played on the hallowed first-team turf.

The Junior Glovers Family Cabin will be open allowing young supporters to enjoy a host of activities including Fifa 17, and after the game fans can head down the tunnel and enjoy a one-off tour of the dressing rooms and first-team facilities, where the manager and the squad will be waiting. 

Parking is available on site for £2 with tickets for the match costing £8 (adults) and £4 (concessions). Programmes will be available priced at £1.
