Carl Dickinson helped extend Yeovil Town’s winning streak to seven games after beating top of the league Bromley on Saturday.

The full-back proved to be an influential figure, providing an assist from a free kick, for Charlie Lee’s goal to make it 3-1.

Dickinson has been key for the Glovers throughout the winning run, the defender has started and played 90 minutes in all of the seven wins, starting the run with a win against former club Notts County.

Speaking to YTTV, after the win against top of the table Bromley, Dickinson said:

“We got dragged into a bit of sloppiness really. We didn’t really get into our game.

“I thought we came out as a different team in the second half, right on the front foot again.

“There was a bit of luck with the second goal, but you need that sometimes. After that there was only going to be one winner – I thought that in the second half we were different class.”

The last time that Yeovil Town won seven games in a row was in the 2012/13 season – the season that saw the green and whites promoted to the Championship.

With more tough games coming up for Darren Sarll’s team, Dickinson has waved away the possibility of complacency.

“We want to keep this feeling going, it’s an unbelievable feeling so we don’t want to let go of it.

“We’re under no illusions what this league is going to be like. If you don’t battle, you’re going to come unstuck.

“We know at times that it isn’t going to look pretty, and we are going to have to dig in.

“Over the past seven games you’ve seen us dig in, with our quality alongside that, we’re always going to have a chance in games.

“When everyone is fit, its one hell of a squad, especially for a non-league team.

“We’re doing well at the minute, we’re working our socks off for each other, and that’s how it should be.”
