The Glovers are home for the first time of the season on Saturday (3pm) against John Coleman’s Accrington Stanley.

Midway through last term, Yeovil went on an eight-match unbeaten run in Somerset and Way wants to emulate similar form in this year’s Sky Bet League Two.

“We’re excited to be back at home,” he told iFollow Glovers.

“We want to make sure we put on a performance for our home supporters. They’ve travelled some distance in consecutive games so it’ll be nice to be back on home soil.

“We want to make sure our home form is good. Every game is going to be difficult but we have to make our ground a fortress.”

Town followed up the disappointing opening day defeat to Luton Town with a credible display at Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Way has no fresh injury concerns to contend with and is willing his squad to learn from every game they play.

“We’re at full strength,” he said.

“We’ve got to make sure the new group that we have keep learning, keep taking things on board, and handle the pressure of League Two football.

“Everyone is going to play a massive part in our challenge.”
