The Glovers led through an early Rhys Browne goal but suffered defeat due to second-half strikes from Kellan Gordon and Keshi Anderson.

David Flitcroft’s Robins have won seven of their nine games away from the County Ground and Way insists his players will gain a lot from facing them.

“It’s always disappointing to lose at home but I thought the players gave everything,” he told iFollow Glovers.

“There were one or two lapses of concentration which some of the younger players can gain huge experience from. We were disappointed with the goals; you have to make sure you stay with your runner.

“(Rhys) Browney and Otis (Khan) caused them all sorts of problems in the opening five to 10 minutes and then they changed to a diamond and brought one or two players on to change the game.”

Way continued: “The reinforcement they have and the resources that they’re working with helps.

“They have a team with a wealth of experience that keep driving each other on and that’s perhaps why they are where they are. They’ve got players who can hurt you and that’s what happened.

“I still think our players gave a lot of effort and energy but unfortunately the experience of staying with runners at crucial moments in the game (was lacking) but they’ll take that on board.

“We’ve got Sam Surridge and Worthy (Matt Worthington) who wouldn’t have played in a game of that magnitude which is an experience for them.

“It would’ve helped if we’d had (Francois) Zoko, Bevis Mugabi and Fela (Olomola) but I always knew it was going to be difficult and we have to make sure we keep going.”
