Formed in 1886 as Argyle F.C., Plymouth play at Home Park which has a capacity of just over 17,000 spectators.

After reaching the Playoff semi-finals last season, succumbing to Wycombe Wanderers 5-3 on aggregate, Plymouth will be looking to go one better this time around and you would not bet against them doing so.

Following the sacking of John Sheridan at the end of May, the Pilgrims appointed Derek Adams to take the helm – a 39-year-old Scottish Manager who had been plying his trade North of the border with Ross County.

There are strong links between Yeovil and Plymouth with former Glovers midfielder Paul Wotton having racked up nearly 500 appearances for the Pilgrims during 17 years at the club. He is now based with the Devon side in a coaching capacity.

Current Yeovil Manager Paul Sturrock has also had two successful spells with Plymouth, having guided them to the Third Division Title in 2002 and their highest league position in 20 years in 2008. He was named in the supporters’ team of the century and is still held in high regard by the Green Army.
