Affectionately known as The Hatters, Luton was founded in 1885 and they hold several major honours including a League Cup win from the 1987-88 season and a 1982 Football League Division Two title.

However, more recently they have dropped down the football pyramid and the Bedfordshire-based side were relegated to the Conference Premier in 2009 following a 30 point deduction due to financial difficulties.

After spending five seasons in non-League football, they were promoted back to the Football League in 2014 and achieved an encouraging 8th place in their maiden campaign, narrowly missing out on the League Two Playoffs.
