Barnet were formed in 1888 having formerly been known as New Barnet FC and Woodville FC.

They joined the Football League in 1991 and have since dropped in and out in recent years.

Barnet, are also known as The Bees, play at the aptly named Hive Stadium which holds 5,200.

The Bees play in black and amber stripes.

They are managed by former Premier League player Martin Allen, who is enjoying his fourth spell at the club in thirteen years with The Bees. He has also managed the likes of Leicester and MK Dons in amongst his spells with Barnet.

Barnet’s main threat is posed by striker John Akinde who bagged himself 24 goals in the previous campaign with a third of them coming in his last six games of the season, two of which came against Yeovil in a 4-3 defeat.

The Bees’ defensive rock at the back comes in the form of former player Bondz N’gala who featured in all but four League Two matches last season.
