Manager Gary Johnson believes his side have to be at their best when they face MK Dons at Huish Park on Saturday if they are to get back to winning ways.

Defeat at Crawley last weekend ended a two-game unbeaten run after a draw and win against Crewe and Peterborough respectively.

Johnson, who believes The Dons are ready for the “next level”, is hoping for a second successive home victory.

“They’re a very, very capable side; Karl Robinson has had a few years to put this squad together and him and the chairman have done some good business. They have round pegs in round holes and we know that we have always got to play our best game to compete with them.

“They’ve got that bit of quality that is the next level, the hardest thing is getting there and hopefully teams like us are seeing them as good teams and you’ve got to make sure that you’re up for it. If we are up for it we will give them a very good game and it should be a very exciting game because Milton Keynes don’t go anywhere and shut up shop they come out to play.”

Consistency has been lacking from Yeovil’s campaign so far this season, and Johnson is hoping to correct the unwanted trait and bridge the gap back into the top six.

“In two or three games that we’ve been in we’ve been inconsistent. We have to be more consistent in our philosophy, in our play and in our tactics and more so in our individual performances. That’s what it takes to get back to the Championship, individuals finding their game on a regular basis.

“We’re four points away from being up near the top; Milton Keynes have probably been one of the best teams this season but if we get a result we’ll be within a point of them, so it is very tight still because there are a lot of teams beating other teams. It’s only Bristol City who have got the big number of points so there’s everything to play for.”

Wolves loanee will feature for the last time on Saturday before returning to Molineux, whilst Town will be boosted by the return to fitness of midfield pair Simon Gillett and James Berrett.

“With Jack Price he has done fantastic for us but his month was always going to be until Simon Gillett and James Berrett came back, so this will be his last game with us and that was the agreement with Wolves as well because they have other plans for him.

“Simon Gillett will definitely be involved in some capacity on Saturday and so will James Berrett. They’re both completely over their injuries so that’s a good thing because both of them at the start of the season I had high hopes for, but unfortunately they both got pretty long term injuries.”
