Yeovil Town manager Paul Sturrock has finally signed his contract to be manager of the club.

As is common these days Paul and the club had to wait for the League manager’s Association to agree all the terms of reference.

The contract will run for two years and after signing the contract Paul said: ”For those who may have wondered why it has taken me so long to sign my contract there is nothing sinister about it, and anyway we have been extremely busy trying to sign players.

“I have got a big job to do here at Yeovil and it’s something I am enjoying immensely. We have been in conversation with at least six players and I am extremely confident that they will sign for the club but we cannot release any names until July 1st. when there outgoing contracts end.

“Rest assured the fans will be the first to know when the signings have taken place.

“I have also been in contact with both Kevin Dawson’s and Sam Foley’s agent and again I am confident we shall get a successful conclusion.

“It is a frustrating time for most clubs right now with players and agents away on holiday which of course makes the whole process more difficult.

“I am also happy to report that we have a great programme of pre-season friendlies lined up including a three day trip to Cornwall. Full details of these games will be released as soon as possible.

Paul started his football career at Dundee United and enjoyed a long career at Tannerdice making 576 appearances for the men in orange including 385 League appearances scoring 171 goals.

Paul played in two World Cups during an International career that saw him make 20 appearances for his country.

His managerial career started at St.Johnstone and including stints at Sheffield Wednesday, Southend United, Southampton, Swindon Town, Plymouth Argyle (Twice) and Dundee United.
