Gary Johnson is officially the Best Manager in the Country!

Yes the Gaffer has overtaken Sir Alex Ferguson in the League Managers Association Castrol Performance League Table.

On the back of the teams fantastic run over the last nine games The Gaffer sits proudly at the top of the table above not just Sir Alex but other greats like Arsene Wenger, Roberto Mancini , Brendan Rogers, Rafa Benitez, Gianfranco Zola and AVB.

The points are all based on the performance of the team and include goals scored, points clean sheets, consecutive unbeaten and obviously The Glovers eight match winning run has gone a long way to getting the Gaffer top spot.

Talking exclusively to Glovers Player the Gaffer said: “It feels very good to be up there because it means your football club is doing well.

“To be number one in that list of very famous and experienced managers feels very good.

“It’s especially good being above Alex of course because I’m sure he has been at the top of that Castrol League for a million years.  For a small club like ours to be above Manchester United has got to be a massive bonus for us.

“Sir Alex gets paid a lot of money for what he does and I think I must be value for money!!”

Watch out for the entire interview on Glovers Player tomorrow.
