The Glovers Sky Bet League Two fixture against Crawley Town at Huish Park was postponed due to torrential rain in Somerset.
With Town looking to make it seven games unbeaten in the league, Way is already looking ahead to Saturday’s trip to Lancashire.
Speaking to YTFC’s official YouTube account, the Town boss said: “We’ll make sure we prepare, and prepare right for the Accrington game.
“I’m going to watch a game tonight (Tuesday) which feels a bit strange but we’ll make sure we get the players right and are ready to go again on Saturday.”
With the weather forecast suggesting further heavy rainfall in the build-up to what would’ve been kick-off on Tuesday, the decision was made at lunchtime to postpone the match.
Despite the Glovers determination to reach the play-offs and continue their unbeaten run, Way backed the decision.
“I think it was the right decision,” he said. “We had the disappointment last year when all the Plymouth fans had travelled (and then it was called off) and we’re due for heavy rain to still come now.
“Looking at the surface there was a decision that had to be made and I think it was the right one for both parties.”
Instead, Yeovil will now focus on Saturday’s trip to Accrington with Way beginning his preparation on Tuesday.
“We’ve got to do our detailed work now with Accrington game. No game at this level is easy and it’s very difficult to win any game, so we’ll make sure we’ve prepared right going into the game on Saturday.”
Fans can still purchase tickets for Saturday’s trip to Lancashire via the Huish Park ticket office – either in person or by calling 01935 847888 – or online
