Gary Johnson has decided against pursuing interest in former Swindon Town player Simon Ferry.
The midfielder had been on trial at the club over the last week or so and also featured in the opening pre-season friendly at Poole Town.
The club also decided against pursuing former Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga, who has since joined fellow Championship side Barnsley on a two-year deal.
Former Brighton and Hove Albion defender Marcos Painter has also departed after appearing against Poole Town at the weekend.
Former Plymouth Argyle defender Onismor Bhasera is currently on trail with the Glovers. Bhasera is a Zimbabwean international who made over 100 appearances for the Pilgrims in a three year stint before his contract expired at the beginning of July.
Gary has also revealed that the club will continue to keep their eye on trialists Nana Omuri-Twumasi and Junior Konadu-Yiadom after both players featured in the friendly at Poole Town.
