21st March 2014

The Adam Stansfield Foundation in partnership with Santander and Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust are producing the next generation of football coaches.

Youngsters aged 12-16 are being encouraged to sign up for an FA Football Leaders Course being tutored by Sion Kitson, funded by Santander, The Professional Footballers Association and The Adam Stansfield Foundation.

The course is therefore free and the lucky leaders are encouraged to go back to their schools and clubs and get involved in coaching and organising events.

The first course will be run on Wednesday 28th May from 9.00am – 3.00pm at Yeovil Town Football Club and is open to anyone aged 12-16 in Somerset. Courses have already been held in Exeter and it’s great to see young people growing in confidence as they gain and develop a variety of personal qualities and gain new life skills to use in coaching and life itself.

More details can be found at www.adamstansfieldfoundation.com.

If you are interested in attending the course please contact Sara Bradley at Sbradley@ytfc.net or by telephoning 01935 706671 for further details.

Adam was a popular player at Yeovil Town from 2001-2004 and sadly died from Bowel Cancer in August 2010. The Foundation was set up by family and friends to ensure his legacy lives on by providing opportunities for under 16 year olds to gain life skills and live a healthy life through the medium of football.

The Foundation also raise awareness of Bowel Cancer in the young working with The Bobby Moore Foundation and Know the Score.
