The twice-capped Guadeloupe international has signed for the 2017/18 season, reinforcing the Glovers defence.

The 30-year-old began his career in France before enjoying spells in England with Plymouth Argyle and Bournemouth, where he was part of the squad which rose from Sky Bet League One to the Premier League.

After a stint away from the EFL for personal reasons, the defender is pleased to have put pen to paper at Huish Park.

“I’m happy to get back into the Football League again,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel

“Last season the gaffer (Darren Way) tried to sign me but we both agreed it wasn’t the right time to join the club, so we spoke again this summer and I’m very pleased.

“I was very busy last year for personal reasons, but now I feel like I’m ready to smash it.”

With pre-season fast approaching the experienced defender will join up with his new team-mates in early July.

Having known Way for a number of years, the former Cherries man is excited to work with Town’s boss.

“We’ve known each other for a long time – six years. It was an easy option (to join),” he said

“I told my missus there were only two teams I would play for – Portsmouth or Yeovil – so I was happy when Yeovil rang and said they were still interested, so I said ‘yeah, bingo!’.

“You can see they’ve signed good players and I know a few of the lads here – Francois Zoko I know very well – and I also know the staff which I think is important.

“They’re trying to achieve something here and of course I want to be a part of it.”
