One hundred and ten Yeovil fans made the 522-mile round trip to the Crown Ground to witness the Glovers extend their unbeaten run to seven.

Way told YTFC’s official YouTube channel: “Fair play to all the supporters that travelled because it’s an unbelievable commitment from them.

“We’re trying to do everything we can to give everything back to them.

“I think they would’ve gone home knowing the players gave everything they possible could to try and get three points.

“Unfortunately (we didn’t), but that’s football and we need to make sure we keep marching on.”

Otis Khan promised more goals in his pre-match interview and he delivered with a beautifully placed free kick in the 51st minute.

The 21-year-old’s fourth goal of the season in all competitions looked have given Town victory but a last-gasp effort from Romuald Boco restored parity.

“The players are disappointed because their performance merited a win,” Way said.

“They are disappointed in the manner the goal was conceded but I’ve said to them they’ve done so well this season.

“I have to make sure I pick them up; I don’t want them to be too down.

“They are still very ambitious. That’s seven games unbeaten now. They’ve just got to keep looking at the positives.”

Town are next in action against Crawley Town at Huish Park on Saturday, December 3rd (3pm).

Fans can purchase tickets in person at the ticket office at the ground, online or by phone on 01935 847888.
