The Glovers travel to Colchester United on the final day (Saturday, May 6th (5.30pm kick-off)) knowing they will be in the EFL for a 15th consecutive campaign following a 1-1 draw against play-off chasing Stevenage.

Dolan, who picked up the Western Gazette player of the year award, described survival as “a massive relief” and believes Town can now look forward to their encounter in Essex.

“It’s a massive relief for everyone,” he told YTFC.net.

“We shouldn’t have been in that position but getting the job done, doing it ourselves and not relying on others is a great boost for us.

“We can go and enjoy the last game of the season now and express ourselves. We’re safe for next season now and we push on.”

He added: “We all know we’ve got quality and on our day we can beat anyone. Stevenage are a good side pushing for the play-offs and being a London-based club it might be a bit more appealing to get players there.

“We’ve done what we’ve done with the budget we have and a small squad.

“It could have been a lot better but we’ve done the job now and we’ll look forward to next season.”
