The defender signed for the Glovers on non-contract terms in the summer, with the club having the opportunity to extend his deal month-by-month.

Former Bournemouth man Zubar picked up a knock in the opening pre-season friendly against Weymouth and is currently working his way back to full fitness.

Despite letting him go, manager Darren Way has made it clear it isn’t necessarily the end of Zubar at Huish Park.

He told YTFC.net: “Stephane is currently recovering from a knock.

“However, I have not ruled out a potential return for him once he has regained his fitness and been fully rehabilitated.”
