Darren Sarll was left delighted after his side secured their first National League win of the season, defeating Bromley 2-1 at Hayes Lane.

First half goals from Rhys Murphy and Joe Quigley ensured that the Glovers sealed an important 3 points ahead of busy festive period.

On his side’s performance

“I thought we deserved the win tonight, first half we were very good and in the second half for us, it was all about maintaining our shape and focus because a team of Bromley’s calibre will always put you under a lot of pressure which I thought we dealt with tonight.

“To be honest, I thought we managed the game well throughout, and defensively we were solid. When you haven’t one for a while it can effect you and sometimes believe it or not you can forget how to win football games but I’m sure those traits will come back the more we win games this season.

“The header they had was I think their only attempt on target so to come to Bromley who let’s not forget are fifth in the league table and get a win was brilliant.”

On Yeovil Town’s attacking display…

“I thought our front two were brilliant tonight. They worked as a unit, they never played in isolation and always played together and for each other which was great to see from the side.

“I’ve seen that a lot from Quigley since he arrived here but tonight, Murphy in particular, I was so pleased for him when that ball went in because he works so hard on/off the pitch.

“He likes that end as well I think he scored in that corner last time we came here in the league. The two of them worked very hard tonight and I was happy to see their hard work pay off.”

On the performance of Gabriel Osho…

“Tonight, if I’m right in saying was only his second game since his Championship season finished at Reading so it’s been a long time for him.

“He has been terrific, he has a lovely persona about him and when he comes in, he lights up the dressing room. When he left us last time he went to Reading and played the last ten games for their first team in the Championship, and you don’t do that if you’re not half-decent, so he has been a real good asset to us this season.”

Going forward for Town…

“It relieves a lot especially for myself because I can’t sleep when we lose games because I’m a winner and I always want the team to do well and succeed.

“This win means that we can relieve ourselves of that drain, drag, and the chain around our ankles however you want to put it. We’ve got to push on from this and take huge confidence going into Saturday.”
