Yeovil Town can confirm the departure of assistant manager and club legend Terry Skiverton.

‘Skivo’ joined the football club in 1999 as a player and made a total of 382 appearances. During his playing days, the central defender led the team as captain to an FA Trophy victory in 2002, alongside promotion from the Conference and League Two.

As the club climbed the football pyramid, Skiverton remained an instrumental figure, even being named in the PFA’s League One team of the season in the 2006/07 season.

In 2009, Skiverton took the role of manager at the football club for the first time, and continued to be a registered player before relinquishing his playing duties in May 2010.

As manager, Skiverton kept the Glovers competitive in League One for a number of years before stepping aside to join Gary Johnson’s coaching team when he returned to the club. This proved to be an extremely successful spell for the club, as it secured promotion to the Championship for the first time in our existence.

After Johnson’s departure, Skivo spent a short time as caretaker manager once again before becoming Darren Way’s assistant until 2018.

In 2019, Skiverton became academy manager, and during this time he has seen his son Fin make his debut for the club.

When Darren Sarll was appointed manager, Skiverton was the first person he phoned, with the former captain stepping into first team coaching once again, whilst continuing his role as the academy manager.

Chairman Scott Priestnall commented, “I’d like to thank Terry for everything he has done for Yeovil Town. He is undoubtedly a club legend, both for his service on and off the pitch. He will always be welcome at Huish Park.”

Skiverton, departs as he moves into a new role in the Football League. All at Yeovil Town would like to extend our gratitude to Terry for his stellar service to the football club, and wish him all the best in his new role.
