The Glovers have had a ten-day match break as Shaun Donnellan, Sessi D’Almeida, Rhys Browne and Enes Mahmutovic all went away on international duty.

Not allowing those who remained in Somerset to take it easy, Way has made sure his players remained focussed and driven as they prepare for Saturday’s clash.

Speaking to iFollow Glovers he said: “We’re looking forward to getting out on the pitch again, we’ve had good times spent on the training ground, the players have been driven this week to make sure we get wins again.

“I thought our performance was good against Bristol Rovers unfortunately we didn’t take our chances, there have been one or two games that we’ve been disappointed in with the Swindon game being one.

“We understand what teams are doing now, coming back and sitting behind the ball and breaking on us on the counter attack and it’s up to us to make sure we breakthrough that.”

Town had eight players on the treatment table when they started their international break.

With Diallang Jaiyesimi and Omar Sowunmi out for extended periods of time the break has allowed the further recovery of others who have spent time sidelined which has pleased Way.

“I feel I’ve got one or two players back that drive expectations and I think that’s very important, some players have handled the Saturday, Tuesday games programme well and some I feel could have done better.

“We enjoy a challenge, every team has got a threat but I still feel we’ve spent a lot of time on us this season and I know perhaps we’ve come away from it but I think that was personnel.

“We’ve got to make sure we get back to being about us, we’ve got to have our identity about us, its got to be about the way we play and how we effect the opposition and there has been a number of games this year where we’ve got that right.”
