Another week of SkyBet Football League action has come around and with every team playing at some point over the weekend, we take a look at three teams we can back in a treble bet with the league’s principal sponsors.

Starting in the Championship and the side getting all the headlines and flying up the form table is Brentford.

The Bees were beaten at Wembley in 2013 for a chance to play in the Championship but gained promotion automatically a year later, they have taken to the second tier like a duck to water and are on a roll having won their last four in a row.

On Saturday they face a Wolves side who have been somewhat shaky of late, losing their last three.

This isn’t a clear cut ‘home banker’ as it may seem and the odds reflect that, but for me, that adds value to an impressive home side.

Brentford to beat Wolves – 5/4

In League One, I have chosen a home side who are heavy favourites, but who I cannot see losing.

Milton Keynes Dons – unbeaten in their last six – host a Colchester Side who have lost their last three and don’t exactly travel well.

The U’s have conceded 14 times on the road and 28 times in total so far this campaign and their nine losses in total have seen them drop into the bottom four.

Dons have only lost once at home all season and score far more freely than Colchester’s back line will be able to handle.

A short price, but it bumps up the accumulator and it without a doubt the best bet in a tricky set of League One fixtures.

MK Dons to beat Colchester – 4/6

Finally, into League Two and a side I seem to have backed a number of times this year, but one who very rarely let me down.

Plymouth Argyle host York City and the Pilgrims haven’t dropped a point at home since early September.

The table (6th v 20th) tells its own story here and the stats back up the home side.

Consider the distance travelled by the away side, the vociferous home support and the fact that Plymouth have conceded just twice at home all season… yep, just twice.

York have lost three times on the road and have won just three others all season, they’ve stopped the rot since changing manager, but this is a still a trip to far for the Minstermen.

This is the value bet of the entire weekend for me, Plymouth should be odds on here and yet they’re not.

Plymouth to beat York – 21/20

There we have my three selections for the weekend’s bets. Three home sides don’t often provide massive value, but with odds of over 13/2 for the treble it can’t be knocked.

The suggested stake of £5 returns £38.44 – but as ever we urge you to bet to the levels that you are comfortable with.

YTFC SPECIAL

Sky Bet have no fewer than 54 markets on the Yeovil v Preston game and quite rightly make the away side reasonable favourites.

But consider the following; Joe Garner is out for PNE, the Deepdale side have never beaten Yeovil at Huish Park and the Glovers have turned a corner following some shrewd additions.

Does the 5/2 on a Yeovil win seem value now?

Following last Saturday’s heroics, there is only one man we can talk about however, Jordan Clarke.

He claimed it was ‘no surprise’ that he was scoring goals especially from set pieces, could lightning strike twice?

At odds of 9/1 to score at any time (28/1 to score first), I don’t mind risking a quid or two on the off chance it does.
