In conjunction with the Football League’s sponsor Sky Bet, Yeovil Town’s tip master Ben Barrett gives you some tip for this weekend’s action.

With another important weekend of football league fixtures on the horizon, it time to look at some of the best bets with the football league’s principal sponsors, Sky Bet.

Starting in the Championship, Derby County are looking to close the gap on the top two and host Millwall who are currently hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The Rams have scored over 60 goals this season and the Lions’ defence is equally as leaky, it’s a home win to kick this accumulator off.

Derby County at 8/15

Staying in the second tier and a home team looking to put right a bit of a sticky patch in their form.

Leeds host Bolton and with new signings Jack Butland and Connor Wickham settling in nicely and Ross McCormack still banging the goals in I can see this one going the way of the Elland Road side.

I fancy both teams to score, but Leeds to come out on top.

Leeds United at 13/10

Dropping down to League One now and a side Yeovil Town know all about.

Brentford may have been on the wrong end of a 2-1 result against the Glovers in May, but they have been in red hot form this season.

Only one defeat in the last ten and hosting a Bradford side who were beaten by lowly Stevenage last time out explains their long odds on price, but it adds to the growing accumulator.

Brentford at 4/7

My Final two selections both come from League Two.

Firstly, Scunthorpe United have had a mixed bag of results recently, drawing too many for their liking, but still sit comfortably in the top three of the division.

They play a Northampton side who sit inside the bottom two and are looking dangerously over their shoulder.

This could be a big score and so small bets on 3-0 and 4-0 to the Iron might be advised too.

Scunthorpe at 3/4

The other side in the bottom two, Torquay United, also face a promotion chaser this weekend.

Fleetwood Town make the long trip down to Devon but could take all three points back up the motorway with them.

Fleetwood need to turn around a recent mini slump too and this might be the weekend they cement their place in the play-offs.

Fleetwood Town at 6/5

A £5 Accumulator with Sky Bet would return over £106.

With three odds-on favourites in there, that’s not a bad return.

The YTFC Special

If you were thinking of having a bet on the big game at Huish Park this weekend, SkyBet make Sheffield Wednesday slight favourites at 11/8 with Yeovil available at 19/10.

The Glovers are in fine recent form, but the Owl’s away form is not to be sniffed at.

Both sides are hoping that star strikers will be available and James Hayter to score the first goal at 6/1 is mighty tempting.

But both teams have questionable records when it comes to clean sheets, so with that in mind, betting on a full time result with both teams scoring might add some value.

I’m an optimistic Yeovil fan and will be backing the Glovers in this special market.

Yeovil to win and both teams to score – at 9/2.
