Another week of SkyBet Football League action and another five picks for a Ben’s Bet accumulator with the football league’s primary sponsor.

Firstly, we have two selections from the Championship.

Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich currently sit just outside the play-off spots and for the Tractor Boys it’s now or never if they are to make the end of season show down.

They host a Doncaster side who are probably just about safe from relegation and who can start dreaming of their holidays and ordering a larger than normal portion at Nandos.

With that in mind, I’m backing a home side who are eager for the points against and away side who have lost more times on the road (12) than they have scored away goals (11) this season.

Ipswich v Doncaster – Ipswich Win @ 8/13

Next up we’re off to Elland Road and a Leeds side who might be about to hit the headlines for all the right reasons.

Italian Massimo Cellino has finally taken over the Yorkshire side and will be looking to install some stability.

He now has a set of fully paid players, a manager who is more than likely playing for his future and 20,000 resurgent fans behind him at home.

Throw in Ross McCormack, the league’s top scorer and I can’t see lowly Blackpool getting anything.

‘Pool have only notched up three away wins all season and just seven points from their last eight games.

Leeds v Blackpool – Leeds win @23/20

Dropping into League One and the very bottom of it for the next selection.

Tranmere Rovers are in disarray with Ronnie Moore sacked and a team who sit dangerously close to the relegation all is not well in the Wirral.

They face another relegation rival in Shrewsbury, who will be trying to draw in those above them.

A Shrews win could see them leapfrog out of the drop zone and over the four sides above them, including Tranmere.

So, I’m backing the away side here. Put Shrewsbury, complete with Sam Foley, in the acca for some added value.

Tranmere v Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury win @ 19/10

Into League Two and there won’t be many fans overly keen on cheering on Bristol Rovers very often, but here we go.

The Gas face bottom of the table Torquay and this season has been a big one for Rovers at home.

Bristol Rovers are the only side outside of the top seven to have won ten of their home games this season.

Another home win, would push out any relegation worries at the Memorial Stadium and probably confirm Torquay’s drop into non-league.

This may look like a six point clash at the bottom of the pyramid, but I think this could be a comfortable home win.

Bristol Rovers v Torquay – Bristol Rovers win @ 11/10

Time to sound like a broken record, but the idea of backing Scunthorpe is becoming easier and easier.

Joint top of the table Iron host Bury whose season is pretty much wrapped up.

Scunthorpe need the win to potentially get a couple of points ahead of Rochdale and put one foot into League One for next season.

They’re unbeaten in for ever and fast becoming one of the first ticks on my quickslip.

Despite this home favouritism, SkyBet still make them a tasty price of 6/5, in my opinion, that’s to short and so they are my best bet of the entire weekend.

Scunthorpe v Bury – Scunthorpe win @ 6/5

We have our five sides and to put a fiver on them all to win and we are looking at a healthy return of over £230.

YTFC Special.
Last week we finally had a winner, I hope you were all on my Tom Lawrence Wincast for the Blackpool game.

In each of the last three Yeovil games, supporters have been treated to an exciting second 45 minutes.

So, this may seem very specific, I’m suggesting the bet that both teams score in the second half.

This is available at 9/4 with SkyBet.

If you prefer something far more mainstream, it never hurts to back players against their former clubs and James Hayter is a legend down at Bournemouth.

He’s 7/1 to score first, 12/5 to score at any time and 80/1 to notch a hat-trick, whether or not he scores all three in less than 220 seconds!
