Lady Glovers ask the Green & White Army to back their Bid

Yeovil Town Ladies are asking the Green & White Army of Glovers fans to mobilise and help the club find additional sponsors as they bid to achieve FA Super League status.

On the back of significant success over the last 2 seasons, the club are seeking support to join the Women’s Super League – TheFAWSL, which will expand in 2014.

If the Lady Glovers apply and are successful, they will become one of the top 20 women’s football clubs in the country and represent YTFC on a national media platform.

Although the final decision on whether to submit an application or not won’t be made until 20thFebruary, the club needs local businesses to pledge their support for the Lady Glovers now as an application will only be made if the club is confident having enough sponsors and commercial partners to make anFAWSLventure financially possible.

Joint Manager Sarah Lawler said “We already have strong support for our club from our fantastic fans and the huge crowd for the Leeds United game we played at Huish Park recently underlined that. However to be successful in any FAWSL bid we have to demonstrate financial stability as well, so we need more sponsors. We have a really good range of products available for new sponsors to attach their brand, which will be promoted through a range of media regionally and nationally as part of The FA Women’s Super League”.
