Yeovil Town Ladies FC Director Stephen Allinson has landed a top role within Women’s Football after being appointed as one of only four Club Representatives on the FA WSL League Management Committee.

Allinson who is also a Director of Yeovil Town FC and Chairman of Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust was voted on to the League Management Committee at the recent FA WSL AGM held at Wembley Stadium.

Allinson, is a very experienced Solicitor, with one of his specialisms being sports related business was delighted and said  “I am really looking forward to being part of the new era for Women’s football and these are very exciting times for the game.

The game has grown enormously over recent years and is now the third most participated sport in the country, behind men’s football and cricket. I hope that my role will enable me to be part of the further growth.”

Commenting Yeovil Town Ladies FC Chairman David Mills said “Stephen will do a great job on the Committee as he has over 20 years experience on the Board of Yeovil Town FC and has a real passion for seeing Yeovil Town Ladies FC and the FA WSL succeed.

I have no doubt he will make a major contribution on the League Management Committee. I also want to take this chance to thank John Salomon and our other friends at Watford Ladies FC who supported Stephen’s nomination”.

Stephen is expected to attend his first meeting of the League Management Committee in mid January.
