Yeovil Town have signed central midfielder Alex Lawless on a one year contract. Alex was a free agent having been released by Luton at the end of last season.

31 year old Alex started his career playing in the Cardiff academy before signing for Welsh Division One side Ton Pentre.

In 2003 Alex signed his first professional contract with then Premier League side but never actually made a first team appearance for them and was released in 2005.

Alex moved on to sign for Torquay United where he made 14 appearances before signing for Forest Green Rovers in July 2006 where he made 102 appearances scoring 8 goals before moving to York City in 2009.

His time at York saw him make 51 appearances scoring 4 goals.

In 2010 Alex signed for Luton Town, initially on loan before the move was made permanent in January 2011.

At Luton Alex probably had his most successful spell making 164 appearances before being released at the end of last season.
