Yeovil Town's under-18 team suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down to their Hereford counterparts by two goals to nil this morning.
Goals from Zac Brimble and Josh Hunt gave the Bulls all three points against a Glovers side short on quality and profligate in front of goal.
The Glovers settled well and enjoyed the majority of the early possession but they had to thank Steve Boore (pictured) who got down well to save from Hunt at the foot of his post.
Despite having good chances to take the lead, Yeovil found themselves a goal behind when Brimble closed down a clearance and slotted the ball home.
The game opened up and both sides could have scored as chances came at either end but it was the Bulls that settled it with fifteen minutes left. Will Loughman fired in a shot that Boore parried and Hunt latched on to the loose ball to score his first goal at this level.
Acting Head of Youth Scott Green, speaking exclusively to
www.ytfc.net after the game said "I'm disappointed with the lack of quality today. We had several good chances to score today but didn't take them and after the two previous performances this season, today was poor."
