Yeovil Town's under-18 side were beaten 2-0 yesterday afternoon by Cheddar in a pre-season friendly.

The Cheesemen overcame a Glovers side missing Rob Clowes, Adam Cleary and Tyler Sheppard through injury and Lloyd Matthews who was with the first team for the Swansea City friendly at Huish Park.

Acting Head of Youth Scott Green was quite pleased with the side's performance but added "Everything up to the final third was good, we just weren't clinical enough in the final third." He went on "I'm quite pleased with the progression the side are making".

The youth team play a behind-closed-doors friendly on Wednesday and travel to Wimborne on Friday evening as they continue their build up to the new season.
