GULLS GOALS SINK GLOVERS

Yeovil Town's youth team slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Torquay United in Bovey Tracey this morning. A double from Ray Spear either side of a Lewis Morgan goal grabbed all three points for the young Gulls.
Torquay started the stronger and impressed in the first ten minutes playing all the football though Yeovil's youngsters came back more as the game wore on.
Just before the half hour came a flashpoint between the two sides. A 50/50 challenge between Rob Hemmings (Torquay) and Joe Grimstead (Yeovil) ended with the Yeovil lad on the floor where he took a nasty kick to the back from Hemmings. This infuriated Yeovil's Ciaran Levet who, protecting his team mate, pushed Hemmings hard and earned himself and the Gulls player yellow cards.
The half ended with Torquay ahead on points and the second period continued in the same vein with both sides enjoying opportunities of their own.
On seventy minutes, a clash of heads between Yeovil's Lewis Morgan and Gulls Nick Milton ended with the latter being walked off after initially losing consciousness for a few seconds.
The game finally troubled the scoreboard with fifteen minutes left. A long clearance from the home goalkeeper found Spear who controlled well before firing home a right foot shot.
Straight from the kick off Yeovil equalised when Lewis Morgan shot home but with five minutes left, Spear scored his, and Torquay's, second shooting past Siddley-Adams.
