Yeovil Town's youth team won their first game of 2010 this morning when they overcame their Hereford counterparts at a chilly Somerton this morning.
Goals from Cory Lewis, Tom Gallagher, Tyler Sheppard and Ciaran Levet secured the win and the Glovers were full value for an even bigger win over the basement side.
Yeovil took the lead on twelve minutes when Lewis Clarke set up Cory Lewis for a simple finish but the Bulls came back well and Ryan Peacock had to make a smart save to preserve the lead.
The equaliser came nine minutes before the break when the Hereford striker hit one from just inside the box leaving Peacock helpless.
Manager Mo Hopkins made an immediate substitution with Rob Clowes replaced by Joe Grimstead and Tom Gallagher came on for Adam Chainey at half time. Gallagher had an instant impact when he gave the Glovers the lead for a second time a minute into the half.
Tyler Sheppard scored the third on 55 minutes with a left foot strike from twenty yards out and six minutes later. Ciaran Levet made it four with a cool slotted finish into the corner.
The remainder of the game was goalless though Grimstead and Gallagher both went close in the closing moments.
