Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust have been awarded Bronze Standard for their activities within the local community.

The Football League Trust are awarding several local clubs with this standard as the first step towards reaching the ultimate Gold Standard which is expected to be only awarded to Premier League clubs.

A set of stringent criteria has to be met by every club that is part of the Football League Trust to reach Bronze standard.

The Trust were delighted to be informed by Football League Trust Regional Manager John Relish that they had attained those criteria today and were awarded with a commemorative wall plaque to mark the achievement.

Speaking at the presentation Mr.Relish said: "I am delighted to award Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust with a bronze accreditation.

"It shows the great strides the Community Trust have made in the last 12 months."

Community Trust Chairman John Fry was equally delighted: "Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust is committed to inputting into the local community and this award shows the tremendous strides we have taken in the last year.

"I'd like to congratulate our Trust team of Manager Adrian Hopper, Community Officer Roy O'Brien and administrator Sara Bradley and all the part time coaches for all their efforts in achieving this award.

"Now we must kick on to the next level and with the backing of the Trust board I hope to be applauding reaching the next silver standard very quickly."
