George Becomes Director For The Day
Last Saturday was no ordinary match day for Glovers fan George Enever.
In fact the day was going to be like no other, as he made his way to the Boardroom to become an honorary Yeovil Town Director for the day, after winning a poster competition back in April.
George, aged nine was unable to fulfil his prize at the clubs Family Day against Crewe Alexandra last season, so he was brimming with excitement at the prospect of getting to see what really goes on behind the scenes on match days.
Suited and booted along with his dad Shaun, George got the chance to meet the Directors from Yeovil and Brighton, as well as gracing the pitch at half time to present the Match, Programme and Ball sponsors with a memento of their day with fellow Director Ron Budden.
There were so many highlights for George, which included receiving his poster framed and signed by the whole squad, meeting Russell and the players and having lunch with the Chairman and Chief Executive.
However he especially liked his name on the plasma screens at the top of the stairs welcoming him to Huish Park.
In fact he liked it so much, he invited his family up after the game to see it for themselves!
We are glad that you enjoyed your day George; it was a pleasure having you at Huish Park!
