YEOVIL Town went down 2-0 at The Valley on Saturday as promotion-chasing Charlton Athletic got back to winning ways.
But the Glovers certainly had some opportunities to have scored in the first-half and it was those missed chances which proved costly in the end.
Kyel Reid finally broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark when he gave Charlton the lead and the home side made sure of the three points when they doubled their advantage in the 54th minute through David Mooney.
While Yeovil had chances to have scored, it was defensive errors at the other end which allowed Charlton to score both of their goals.
The result saw Yeovil slip one place to 15th in the Coca-Cola League One table and they are now just four points above the dreaded drop zone.
The Glovers travel to Walsall tomorrow night desperate for some points to safeguard their position in the mid-table.
